Book Club -"ChocLit-Guild"

Our favorite day of the month.....my turn to hostess. The weather was perfect, Domini's dessert luscious, the conversation lively.

Softball

This far corner of our yard has been the greatest spot for informal, impromptu,
silly family softball games over the years. The more the family grows the better it gets.
Saturday evening was the start of our season! :) Everyone gets in the game.

Inlaws and Outlaws

Our brother in law, Al's, birthday turns into a family gathering and bash.
I'll bet you can even tell what the theme was!
His family put on a fabulous ho-down and feast for us all.

Weekend Getaway

On to another location in the NW lush forest lands.
John and I spent our Anniversary at a favorite hot springs on the McKenzie river.

This place has it all if you enjoy quiet solitude, hot mineral swimming pool,
and magical, meandering, 'foresty' places to wander. It has numerous, well-kept, garden areas, both natural and formal -
each, as you happen upon them, more amazing than the last.
And the whole while, the continuous roar of the majestic river as background music.

These photos really don't do it justice. (especially since you can't feel the soothing heat of the mineral pool
or hear the sound of the river, or smell the mossy forest...sorry, you'll have to use your imagination
or just go there sometime.)


Our second day was marvelously sunny.(We were so glad, because our first day
definitely was not! We had a lovely, cool downpour while we were in the hot pool.)
