Decorating- Garden Style

I'll return to Holly's week of birthday photos after a short break for a decorating theme post.

~Garden style~

Using garden elements in decorating gives a fresh springy look to a room.

Sometimes the larger and more unlikely the item the better.

Like this row of vintage watering cans on top of an old Hoosier.

The feeling in this room lends itself to a garden theme nicely because of the wall of used brick.
Lots of white still keeps the overall look from getting to heavy.

Plants and topiary are another essential for a garden feel.

In all things of nature there is something marvelous

Hi there! Came by for the spring fluffing party...I am in love with your whole room. I just love the large watering cans and the huge clock in the back. Love the mix of old and new!! It's the kind of room we all wished we had.

Wow, thanks you all. This room has always been a huge chalenge to decorate. The change to wood floors and adding lots of white helped a lot. I wish I had a photo from 30 years ago.I don't think I'd show it though :)

I enjoyed seeing your decorations for spring as I always enjoy how you keep changing things in your living room. It was like a visit without having to travel so far. We really enjoy your blog. Mom and for Dad too.
