Spring

Spring has returned. The earth is like a child that knows poems.
~Rainer Maria Rilke~

These daffodils have been returning and increasing every year for 50 years or more. They spring up around the site of an old, long demolished homestead, of which there is absolutely no sign ~ except for these amazing, hardy flowers.

Their scent drifts my way and their color then catches my eye from a wonderful distance.

That is one of my favorite quotes. :) Beautiful yellow and green!

Are those beautiful daffodils in the field across from your place? If so, they are where Shannon and I walked to and picked some when she was still using a stroller and she said - "Mommy will really 'preciate these. Mom

Wow, you have a good memory Mom. So that's been about 30 years ago proving my point as to how long those daffodils have been there! I think that the cultivating of the field must not harm them much. Cheri
