Doesn't Shannon look peaceful, sitting in the warm sun ! {or just tired?}
Many of the ruins are from the Roman era, like this gigantic aqueduct. We hiked way up to see it from another angle~it was so worth the climb. At the top, we ran into a couple, who had seen us in the restaurant on my birthday, clear back in the Loire Valley a week earlier. What a coincidence! We exchanged photographing each other.
Later, there was a free dance show/concert, with that huge aqueduct for backdrop. Stunning, actually.

It has been one of those weeks where whatever can go wrong has. It was SO lovely to visit your blog and go on a "vacation" today, I really needed it.
Those brightly colored shutters are in such fantastic contrast to the neutral tones buildings!
Thanks, Molly
The colored shutters seem to define each home from the one next to it~we just loved that!
